The following groups may use facilities, other than the Lunda Center, at Western Technical College free of charge and without a signed contract and Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI).
Western College Meeting/Activity– an event or activity should be considered a "Western College Event" if a Western Technical College administrative department, academic unit, or sanctioned student organization plans and delivers the meeting within the defined mission and purpose of the unit and/or college.
Western Partnerwith Daily Rental Exemption –For purposes related to the policy and procedure, a Western partner is defined as an entity having a signed lease agreement with the College. Within that long-term lease agreement with the College there may be specific negotiated language in the lease or addendum stating the terms of agreed upon classroom or other facility usage.
Vendor Training – an external vendor may use classroom space if all of the following criteria are met:
- The external vendor works in conjunction with a Western Technical College faculty or staff member to schedule the training.
- Western Technical College students and faculty have access to the training which supports a learning outcome for a particular class or program.
- The faculty or staff member coordinating the training is responsible for the room reservation, opens the space, attends presentation, and ensures the room is clean and furniture arranged when the training is completed.
External Organization Meetings – if a Western Technical College faculty or staff member is a member of a committee in the community as part of their job requirements at Western Technical College, they may host meetings for the organization at Western Technical College. The faculty or staff member arranging the meeting is responsible for the room reservation, opening of the space, and ensuring the room is clean and furniture arranged when the training is completed. Exceptions to be approved by Lunda Center Manager.
